OUR LABELS

A cuisine worth appreciation:

HOME MADE

GastroSuisse, the Foundation for the Promotion of Taste, Slow Food CH and the French-speaking consumers’ federation (FCF), united under the Association “Promotion of Home-made”, have awarded the Restaurant Miroir d’Argentine the “Home-made” label.

This label distinguishes, on a voluntary basis, restaurants whose dishes are prepared entirely or for the most part in their own kitchens, without resorting to pre-cooked dishes and products.

SWISS WINE

Swiss wine awards the “Swiss wine gourmet” label to establishments serving Swiss wines.

The Miroir d’Argentine offers wines from the six Swiss wine regions and they awarded us the label “Swiss wine gourmet – three golden glasses” in 2022.

These three glasses are the highest possible recognition of the label. The six Swiss wine regions are Vaud, Valais, Geneva, the Three Lakes region, German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino.

GAULT & MILLAU

We were delighted and deeply grateful to be awarded 14 points at the Gault&Millau 2025 ceremony, 1 point more than in 2024!

Extract from the review: ‘The bread here comes with four different butters: Espelette chilli, mushroom, sweet and salted. The menu includes some fine creations, such as this millefeuille of beetroot, wild garlic and hummus. The foie gras terrine, soft and judiciously spiced, is accompanied by a red fruit and quince chutney. The sweetbreads that follow are a delight. A brown sauce glaze enhances its flavour without overpowering the delicacy of the perfect cooking. The potato millefeuille melts under its golden layer. Fresh asparagus tips and a light, creamy yellow carrot purée complete the dish, not forgetting the tasty fresh morels. For dessert, a honey-roasted pear rests on an excellent almond shortbread, topped with a whipped cream with discreet hints of tonka bean’.

VAUD WINE TOURISM

The ‘Vaud Œnotourisme’ certification distinguishes Vaud-based professionals in the hotel and restaurant trade, wine and good taste in general, who attach particular importance to providing a high-quality tourist and gourmet offering. Initiated by the canton of Vaud, the ‘Vaud Œnotourisme’ certification creates a network of places where you can be sure of discovering, sharing and, above all, tasting the terroir of Vaud.

SWISSTAINABLE

In December 2023, we were awarded the Engaged level (level 2 out of 3) of the Swissstainable label. This is a Swiss sustainable development programme for tourism. It focuses on the sustainable development of Switzerland as a tourist destination. Participation in this sustainability programme is open to all Swiss tourism businesses and organisations.

ECOCOOK

EcoCook® is the world’s first sustainability consultancy and certification programme for the catering industry, helping to improve overall performance, reduce costs and ensure sustainable practices at all operational and management levels, and among all stakeholders. In October 2023, we carried out the initial audit, enabling us to identify several areas for improvement to reduce our impact.
